Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly registered their interest in swapping Younes Kaboul for Stuttgart forward Timo Werner.
Kaboul has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Spurs before Monday's transfer deadline, and it was previously suggested that the Frenchman was close to joining Besiktas.
However, Stuttgart are the latest club to join the race for the centre-back, and The Mirror claims that Spurs may use the Bundesliga club's interest to make a move for Werner.
The report claims that Spurs will ask Stuttgart to include the 18-year-old in any potential deal which would see Kaboul make the switch to Germany, but Werner is likely to be valued much higher, meaning that a straight swap would not be plausible.
Werner has scored three goals in 16 Bundesliga appearances this season.
