Manchester City are reportedly considering a bid for Sunderland winger Stephane Sessegnon.
The 28-year-old versatile midfielder has been in fine form for the Wearsiders over the past 12 months and was recently voted as the club's player of the season.
Arsenal have also been linked with Sessegnon and the Gunners were believed to be leading the race for his signature.
However, City boss Roberto Mancini has been impressed by the Benin international's performances against his side and the Italian is prepared to offer Adam Johnson in a part-exchange deal for the player, according to The Mirror.
Sessegnon scored eight goals in 42 appearances for the Black Cats this season.
