Sunderland manager David Moyes has said that striker Victor Anichebe will not be risked against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
Shortly after the closure of the transfer window, Anichebe moved to the Stadium of Light on a free after his release from West Bromwich Albion but he must wait to make his Black Cats bow after suffering an injury in training.
Moyes told reporters: "It would be good to get Victor ready but I don't want to rush him. He has a slight thigh strain so we're being protective."
Sunderland are yet to win in the Premier League this season, while they have only scored three goals from their opening four fixtures.
