World Cup star Panagiotis Kone is not on Sunderland's radar as the Black Cats are looking to target recruits with Premier League experience, a report has claimed.
Greek midfielder Kone has been linked with a move to the Stadium of Light over the last 48 hours after reports emerged that Sunderland were tracking the £3m-rated midfielder.
The 26-year-old is expected to leave Bologna this summer after they were relegated from the Italian top flight, and has impressed during Greece's World Cup group games.
However, the Shields Gazette claims that Sunderland have no interest in making a move for Kone, suggesting that the attacking midfielder would prefer to remain in Italy.
Sunderland's three signings so far this summer - Billy Jones, Jordi Gomez and Costel Pantilimon - all have experience of playing in the English Premier League.
