Sunderland manager Gus Poyet has admitted that it is too early to decide on the future of striker Danny Graham.
The 29-year-old has started four of the Black Cats' last six games after being handed a second chance at the Stadium of Light by the Uruguayan.
Poyet says that despite not opening his Sunderland account yet, Graham has been impressive since returning to the team.
"We are delighted with Danny. I think the fans are happy that he is playing too," he told the Shields Gazette.
"I think normally, what happens this season will have a consequence for next season. But it would be very strange to make a decision now. Now, don't get me wrong, if someone doesn't play all season, then you can probably tell them that they could move on next year.
"But the ones who are playing all the time, you need to wait. It depends on so many things that can happen in the summer."
Graham spent six weeks on loan at Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this season.
