Swansea City have turned down a bid from Sunderland for Ghana international Andre Ayew, according to a report.
It is understood that Sunderland, who are struggling in the Premier League alongside Swansea, made a £12m offer for the 26-year-old on Friday afternoon.
However, The Mirror reports that Swansea have rejected the approach, despite the fact that it would mean a £12m profit from a player that moved to Wales on a free transfer at the start of the season.
Ayew has netted seven times for Swansea this season, but the Welsh outfit's troubles in the league have left them just outside the bottom three in 17th.
Swansea have already sold Jonjo Shelvey to Sunderland's close rivals Newcastle United this month.
