Former Everton striker Louis Saha has announced that he is closing in on a move to Sunderland.
Reports emerged yesterday claiming that the 34-year-old, who became a free agent at the end of the season following a loan stint at Tottenham Hotspur, has begun advanced talks with the North-East club.
Saha tweeted: "I'm on my way to discuss with Sunderland."
It has been suggested that the Black Cats' move for Saha has come to fruition following their latest unsuccessful bid for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Steven Fletcher.
