Sunderland are reportedly lining up a summer swoop for Wigan Athletic defender Donervon Daniels.
The Montserratian is out of contract in the summer and Black Cats boss Chris Coleman is hoping to snap him up on a free transfer, according to the Sunderland Echo.
Daniels, who went out on loan to Rochdale earlier this season, has also been linked with Norwich City and Cardiff City.
Coleman is said to be putting together tentative summer recruitment plans, although the players within his reach will depend on the division Sunderland are in next season.
The Black Cats are currently second from bottom of the Championship, three points away from a position of safety.
