Sunderland have completed the signing of Wigan Athletic midfielder Jordi Gomez on a three-year deal.
The 28-year-old will join the Black Cats on a free transfer when the window opens on July 1, after ending his five-year association with the Latics.
The former Espanyol man scored 11 goals last term and was voted as the club's Player of the Season.
Gomez, who was part of the Wigan squad that won the 2013 FA Cup, is Sunderland's second signing of the transfer window, following the capture of West Bromwich Albion's Billy Jones earlier this week.
