Sunderland winger Will Buckley has signed for Sheffield Wednesday on a season-long loan.
The 26-year-old, who spent last season at Leeds United and Birmingham City for loan spells, is eligible to play in the Owls' Championship opener against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Buckley joined Sunderland from Brighton & Hove Albion for a reported £2.5m fee in 2014, but he has struggled to cement a regular spot in the team, making 24 appearances in all competitions.
The winger began his career at Rochdale and spent two years in the first team before having spells at Watford and Brighton.
The Owls' new arrival will wear the number 38 shirt.
