Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he is being forced to "wait and see" whether or not John Goossens will join the club.
Recent reports have suggested that Swansea have agreed a fee with Dutch club NEC Nijmegen for the transfer of the 23-year-old.
Rodgers has praised the midfielder's assets, but admits that the deal is not completed yet.
"He is a player among a number of players we are looking at. He is a very good technician," said the Swansea boss.
"He's a central player who can also play wide, he is a very technical player with a great shot and he can deal with the ball which is important and he can play in a couple of positions.
"He came through the system at Ajax, moved to NEC and he is a young player who can develop. Whether we choose to go down that route we will wait and see."
Goossens has made two appearances for the Dutch under-21 side.
