Swansea City have provisionally agreed a deal to sign long-term target Alejandro Pozuelo from Real Betis, with a deal to be confirmed within the week.
Pozuelo has reportedly agreed a three-year deal to join former Betis teammate Jose Canas at the Liberty Stadium next season, with Swansea holding an option for a fourth year in his contract.
Swans boss Michael Laudrup tried to sign the winger in January but failed to land the 21-year-old, who opted to let his contract with Betis run to a close.
Betis will be due a compensation fee of around £420,000 for Pozuelo, who according to the Daily Meal will finalise a Bosman move early next week.
Laudrup has struggled to sign his top transfer targets so far this summer, with Swans chairman Huw Jenkins insisting yesterday that he is working tirelessly to secure new signings.
