Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has confirmed the club's interest in Blackpool star Thomas Ince.
The Swans owner said that he was quoted a price of £8m for the 21-year-old, an amount he deems to be too high for a youngster.
"The prices that have been quoted for Tom are quite staggering when you look around," The Sun quotes him as saying.
"We tend to build our young players up far too much."
However, Ince could be on the brink of joining Swansea's Welsh rivals Cardiff City following reports that the club has had an offer for him accepted.
