Swindon Town have missed the chance to move within a point of the playoff places in the League One table after being held to a 0-0 draw with 10-man Colchester United.
The Robins raced out of the traps and spurned a number of good opportunities in the early stages of the contest.
Goalkeeper Sam Walker tipped Alex Pritchard's fizzing long-range effort narrowly past the post, before Michael Ngoo and Dany N'Guessan both wasted chances to open the scoring.
United went down to 10 men with 20 minutes remaining following Sanchez Watt's altercation with Nathan Thompson but, despite the numerical advantage, Swindon failed in their attempts to open the scoring and Colchester held out for an impressive point.
