Swindon Town have announced that Nile Ranger's contract with the club has been terminated with immediate effect.
The striker was subject to a disciplinary hearing with the League One side yesterday, having been arrested on suspicion of common assault and criminal damage earlier this week.
A statement on the club's website said: "Following on from yesterday's disciplinary meeting with Nile Ranger and his PFA representative, Swindon Town Football Club can confirm that both the club and Nile Ranger have mutually agreed to a termination of Nile's contract with immediate effect."
The 23-year-old joined the club on a one-year deal at the start of the season.
