Torino have reportedly rejected a £55m bid from West Ham United for club captain and Italy striker Andrea Belotti.
The Hammers are looking to add firepower to their attack following the departure of Marko Arnautovic, who top-scored for them last season despite not being an out-and-out striker.
Belotti scored 15 goals in Serie A last season and has netted five times in 22 appearances for the national side since 2016.
According to Tuttosport, Manuel Pellegrini has seen his latest bid knocked back for the 25-year-old, who has become a figurehead during four years at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
The Italian sport newspaper also reported in January that West Ham had made an offer of more than £40m for Belotti's services.
Speaking at the time, former Torino sporting director Gianluca Petrachi said: "The difficulty for myself and the president is to refuse the millions that are offered to us for our prized pieces. We do it because we are ambitious."
Belotti has scored nine times in Torino's first two pre-season friendlies.
