A first-half brace from Emile Sinclair has given Northampton Town a 2-1 lead over Torquay United in League Two this evening.
The visitors took the lead in the 10th minute of the game when Sinclair drove towards goal before letting fly with a right-footed shot, which flew across the goal and into the bottom left corner.
Northampton doubled their advantage in the 16th minute when Richard Ravenhill fed Sinclair into the right side of the box, allowing the striker to drill home a finish past the keeper in the centre of goal.
Torquay tried to place more of a foothold in the game as Jayden Stockley tried to claw a goal back with a right-footed shot from outside the box, but it was far too easy as it was gobbled up by the Northampton keeper.
The visitors did manage to pull one back just before the break, as Jordan Chapell whipped in a corner for Krystian Pearce to prod home from the centre of the box.
