Torquay United have confirmed that they will appeal midfielder Joss Labadie's 10-match ban for biting.
The 23-year-old was punished by the Football Association after being found guilty of biting an opponent during his side's 3-1 defeat to Chesterfield on February 15.
Labadie, who had denied the charge, was also fined £2,000 by an independent regulatory commission.
Torquay, who are currently bottom of the League Two table, received written reasons for the ban on Friday and had until Monday to decide whether to appeal the ruling.
If upheld, Labadie will miss the team's remaining 10 matches of the season.
