Torquay United have given their survival hopes a boost courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Bury in their League Two match at Plainmoor.
The hosts opened the scoring in the eighth minute when Lee Mansell met Dale Tonge's cross to nod home from close range.
Bury threatened with a chance of their own soon after, as Danny Mayor's powerful strike from range was saved by Martin Rice.
Daniel Nardiello was the next to try his luck for Bury, but saw his low drive held by the keeper.
Bury levelled the scores in the 66th minute through Clive Platt, who latched on to Chris Sedgwick's free kick to slot in from close range.
The hosts came close to a second when Mansell's fierce effort from inside the box was saved by the keeper.
With the game heading towards a draw, Torquay snatched all three points in injury time when Ashley Yeoman picked up the ball on the edge of the box before firing a strike into the bottom corner.
