Torquay United interim manager Alan Knill has said that he expects to add some loan players to his squad before Saturday's match against Accrington Stanley.
The Gulls are one point above the League Two relegation zone following seven defeats in a row.
Knill has admitted that he needs to bring in more experienced players.
"We're desperate just to help the players we already have here," he told BBC South West Sport.
"Everyone can see we need more players. I want players that have played in this league and know all about it.
"I think it's important that we try and strengthen all positions in the squad, not just defence."
Torquay lost 2-1 to Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday evening.
