Tottenham Hotspur Ladies meet North London rivals Arsenal Women for the second time this season on Saturday, when Rehanne Skinner's team go head to head with Jonas Eidevall's side at The Hive.

The Gunners are looking to continue their perfect start to the Women's Super League campaign, sitting top of the table and three points above Chelsea, while Spurs have made their best-ever start to a top-flight season.

Match preview

Spurs rescued a point last time out when they welcomed Manchester United to North London, with Ria Percival leaving it until the 95th minute to make it 1-1 against the Red Devils.

Goalkeeper Tinja-Riikka Korpela had to produce a fine performance to keep her side in the game as Man United fired seven shots on target, but the result meant that Tottenham remained in the top three after gameweek six.

Skinner's side have won twice and drawn once at home this season, but they have only managed to net three goals in that time, and they come up against the best defence in the league on Saturday.

Tottenham have had to be efficient in front of goal this season, having scored eight out of the eight big chances which they have created in the final third, and this weekend they are likely to need just as much effectiveness as the visitors are likely to limit Spurs to few shots on goal.

Arsenal are continuing to grow from strength to strength this season, and they extended their straight-winning run to five games last time out in the Champions League.

Eidevall's side travelled to Denmark where they faced Koge in gameweek three of the group stages, and it was a comfortable evening for the Gunners, who came away with three points and a 5-1 victory, courtesy of goals from Steph Catley, Nikita Parris, Caitlin Foord, Anna Patten and Jordan Nobbs.

There was also no problems for the league leaders last weekend in the WSL, as Arsenal dispatched fellow Londoners West Ham United 4-0 at Borehamwood.

Arsenal have only lost once in their 11 outings this season, the one defeat coming against European champions Barcelona, and Eidevall's side will be confident heading into Saturday's North London derby.

The away team will be looking to emulate their performance and result against Spurs the last time these rivals met, at the end of September in the FA Cup and Arsenal ran out as emphatic 5-1 winners over Tottenham.

The Lilywhites have not managed to beat Arsenal in each of their last five encounters, and the Gunners have scored at least three goals in their last four meetings with Spurs.

Team News

Goalkeeper Korpela returned between the posts for Spurs last time out, after Becky Spencer had taken responsibility for the previous four WSL games, and Korpela is expected to retain her place in the starting 11.

Kit Graham is sure to start for the hosts, and she could line up in a front three with Rachel Williams and Jessica Naz, while the remainder of the team are likely to have more of a defensive focus.

Spurs are expected to play with a back five on Saturday, and that will consist of Ashleigh Neville, Shelina Zadorsky, Molly Bartrip, Asmita Ale and Kerys Harrop.

Arsenal centre-back Jennifer Beattie has not featured for the side since the beginning of October, meaning that Lotte Wubben-Moy is likely to start in the heart of defence with Leah Williamson.

Vivianne Miedema was rested last time out in the WSL against West Ham by not starting the game, while Beth Mead only played 30 minutes on Wednesday evening in the Champions League, as Eidevall looks to utilise his whole squad to give players rest with a lot of games to be played.

Miedema and Mead are expected to start on Saturday, while Kim Little will also return to the starting 11 in the midfield three along with Frida Maanum and Lia Walti.

Tottenham Hotspur Ladies possible starting lineup:
Korpela; Neville, Zadorsky, Bartrip, Ale, Harrop; Clemaron, Percival; Naz, Williams, Graham

Arsenal Women possible starting lineup:
Zinsberger; McCabe, Wubben-Moy, Williamson, Catley; Maanum, Little, Walti; Mead, Miedema, Parris

We say: Tottenham Hotspur Ladies 1-2 Arsenal Women

Any team will find it difficult to stop Arsenal in the current form that they are in, and the Gunners are expected to make the short trip to the Hive and come away with three points.

Tottenham will look to frustrate Arsenal and could sneak a goal on the counter attack, but Arsenal's quality should be enough to seal the win this weekend.
