Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim has admitted that his side's 2-0 victory over Toulouse during week 17 of the Ligue 1 campaign was important for the club's confidence.
Jardim's men cruised to three points courtesy of a Dimitar Berbatov brace at the Stadium Municipal, with the Monaco manager also suggesting that his side's opposition looked tired during the contest.
"The victory is important for our confidence. It was the third game of the week and I think that Toulouse aren't used to that," Jardim told reporters after the game, according to the official Ligue 1 website.
"I found them to be tired. Monaco were better prepared for putting together a run of matches and that certainly played to our advantage."
The victory over Toulouse sees Monaco climb to seventh spot in the Ligue 1 table.
