Goals from Cheikh Ndoye and Abdoul Camara gave high-flying Angers a hard-fought 2-1 victory after they battled back to beat hosts Toulouse in Ligue 1 this evening.
After a tight start it was Toulouse who were able to push themselves in front, thanks to Oscar Trejo who met a cross from Wissam Ben Yedder to head down into the bottom corner.
Angers were not to be too startled, however, as they restored parity just a few moments later in the 27th minute as Ndoye produced a standout header of his own to send a cross from Vincent Manceau into the top corner.
The visitors continued to improve and they found a lead to take into the interval through Camara, who collected from Gilles Sunu, before steering beyond Ali Ahamada in the Toulouse goal.
The hosts had not given the game up, though, and they could have pulled level after half time, but Tongo Doumbia saw his header kept out at the top-right corner of goal.
Going into the final embers of the contest, Toulouse might have grabbed a late point, only for Adrien Regattin to shoot straight at the keeper as the game finished in favour of Angers.
