Saturday morning's Championship transfer talk news roundup:

Report: Liverpool very close to completing deal for Diogo Jota

Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Diogo Jota, according to a report.

The Reds confirmed the signing of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich on Friday afternoon in a deal worth an initial £20m.

Jurgen Klopp hinted at his press conference earlier today that Liverpool are not necessarily finished in the transfer window yet, having also brought in left-back Kostas Tsimikas.

The Liverpool Echo claims that the Merseyside outfit are already at an advanced stage in their pursuit of their next target, with a deal for Wolves ace Jota believed to be close.

Portugal international Jota is rumoured to now be at the top of Klopp's wanted list, ahead of Watford's Ismaila Sarr, with a little over two weeks of the window left to run.

Liverpool are said to be confident of striking a deal with Wolves for the 23-year-old, who has scored and assisted a combined 22 goals in two Premier League seasons at Molineux.

Report: Arsenal set loan condition by Brentford in David Raya deal

Brentford have reportedly told Arsenal that they can only sign David Raya if they loan the goalkeeper back to them for the rest of the season.

The Gunners are seeking competition for Bernd Leno in goal after selling Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa in a £20m deal earlier this week.

Raya has emerged as a possible option but, according to The Telegraph, Brentford have already knocked back a £10m bid from Arsenal.

Sky Sports News suggests that a transfer could still go through before the October 5 deadline, but only if Arsenal loan the Spaniard back to the promotion-chasing Bees for 2020-21.

Mikel Arteta's side are also believed to be in talks with Dijon keeper Runar Alex Runarsson, although that transfer is likely to be dependent on whether or not Raya joins.
