Sports Mole rounds up all of the latest transfer news in La Liga on Sunday, February 7.

Sunday morning's La Liga transfer talk news roundup:

Paris Saint-Germain 'offer Lionel Messi £800,000-a-week contract'

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly offered Lionel Messi an £800,000-a-week contract to join the French champions on a free transfer ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

Messi's contract with Barcelona is due to expire at the end of June, and it appears increasingly likely that the Argentina international will seek pastures new later this year.

Manchester City continue to be strongly linked with the 33-year-old, but according to the Daily Star, PSG have tabled a huge £800,000-a-week offer in a bid to tempt him to Paris.

The report claims that Messi, who has allegedly not had discussions with any club over his future, has also been offered a £40m signing-on fee by the French champions.

The South American attempted to leave Camp Nou on a free transfer last summer, but the move was blocked by Barca, who have seen their finances take a hit due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The attacker has scored 16 times and registered seven assists in 25 appearances for Ronald Koeman's side during the 2020-21 campaign, including 12 goals in 18 La Liga outings.

Joan Laporta confirms Lionel Messi offers amid Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City links

Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta has confirmed that Lionel Messi has already received lucrative offers from foreign clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Argentina international will depart Camp Nou after more than two decades in Catalonia at the end of the season unless a new contract can be agreed.

Messi tried and failed to leave last year and Barca have been unable to convince the six-time Ballon d'Or winner to commit to fresh terms since then.

With the days ticking down until the one-club man becomes a free agent, speculation has intensified over a possible move to Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester City.

Laporta, in the running to succeed Josep Maria Bartomeu in the rescheduled March elections, is aware of interest from wealthy teams.

"It won't be easy because he's receiving offers from clubs that don't lack money, because they have either a tycoon or a state behind them," he said in a campaign speech.

"Messi is very comfortable here, I'm convinced. From what I know of him, he wants to stay. He loves Barcelona and I enjoy the honesty he has always spoken to me with."

Messi has scored 16 times and registered seven assists in 25 appearances for Barca this season.
