Sports Mole provides developments of all the transfer stories that emerge throughout the day.

Welcome to Sports Mole's live transfer blog on Thursday, July 9.

The transfer window is in full swing as football clubs home and abroad try to strengthen their squads in time for the new season in August.

We are yet to see a big-money transfer go through, but with over seven weeks left until the summer window slams shut, there's plenty of time for cash to be exchanged.

Rest assured that we will keep you up to date with all of the latest developments as they happen.

Good morning all! Are we in for a busy day of transfer activity? Let's hope so! The big news from yesterday was Toby Alderweireld's move to Tottenham Hotspur from Atletico Madrid. It's safe to say that Southampton feel cheated after they thought that they had first option to sign the Belgian following his loan spell at St Mary's last season. Things could get ugly between the Saints and Atletico as the Premier League club are reportedly pressing ahead with a £2m compensation claim. We will await to see the outcome of that one!
While we're on the subject of things 'getting ugly', it appears as though there's some turmoil between Raheem Sterling and Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers. According to reports, trust has broken down between the pair and the Manchester Evening News reports that Sterling's suitors Manchester City are not prepared to meet the Reds' £50m asking price. So, will Liverpool come down on their valuation or will Sterling be sulking his way through next season at Anfield? All will become clear, I'm sure.
While we wait for today's transfer activity to kick into gear, why not have a look through our latest transfer update, which features stories that emerged in the press overnight.
Angel di Maria doesn't seem to be far away from the transfer gossip pages this summer. Barcelona and Arsenal have been linked with the Manchester United player, but now, Le Parisien are reporting that the Argentine has already agreed terms with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain regarding a €60m (£43m) move to Parc des Princes. Numerous reports have suggested that Di Maria is unhappy at Old Trafford after failing to make an impact in his debut season at the Premier League club.
This time last year, Marco Reus was being linked with a move to pretty much every major European club, but having signed a new deal at the Westfallendtadion the interest appeared to have cooled. However, reports have emerged overnight suggesting that the German star has rejected a switch to Barcelona, which could see a number of Premier League sides make an approach.
DONE DEAL! Days after penning a new long-term contract at the Liberty Stadium, promising young talent Kenji Gorre has now been shipped out on loan to Dutch outfit ADO Den Haag to continue his development.
BREAKING NEWS! Mark Bunn, who was released by Norwich City at the end of last season, is snapped up on a two-year deal by fellow Premier League side Aston Villa. Click here for more.
It appears that the summer transfer window goalkeeper merry-go-round is now in full swing. As revealed a little earlier, Mark Bunn has joined Aston Villa, which could now see Shay Given depart for Stoke City in the coming days. That move appears to now be a case of when rather than if, paving the way for Asmir Begovic to swap Stoke for Chelsea in a reported £8m deal.

BREAKING NEWS! Celtic have announced the signing of striker Nadir Ciftci on a four-year deal. More on that to follow shortly.
Here is a little more on that news we brought you a short while ago, as Celtic finally complete the capture of Nadir Ciftci from Scottish Premiership rivals Dundee United.
Poor Raheem Sterling is too ill to turn up to Liverpool training for a second day running, according to reports, which has added even more uncertainty to his future. All the latest on the unsettled star's future can be found right here.
While the Sterling transfer saga looks set to drag on for a while longer yet, Robin van Persie is reportedly a matter of days away from completing his switch from Manchester United to Fenerbahce.

Now, Watford have been busy bees (OK, Hornets) in the transfer window so far, but they won't be signing former Newcastle United defender Davide Santon from Inter Milan. That's according to club owner Gino Pozzo, who might now turn his attention to another Inter player. Find out who here.
Manchester United have been linked with plenty of signings this summer and perhaps the biggest coup of all would be to prise Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich. Click here for the latest on that possible move.
Staying at Old Trafford because there could well be a new face arriving there very soon. A report in Italy claims that right-back Matteo Darmian will have a medical tomorrow. All the details can be found here.
Talking of medicals, this man is said to be undergoing one right now at Crystal Palace.

DONE DEAL! There's been some movement up in Scotland as Dale Carrick completes his move from Hearts to Kilmarnock on a three-year contract. Read all about that deal here.
Meanwhile, back in England, the future of Ipswich Town striker Daryl Murphy has had plenty of column inches already this summer. Sheffield Wednesday are now said to have shown an interest in the Irishman, with a £4.25m bid having been lodged.
Over in Spain, there are three strikers on the radar of Sevilla head coach Unai Emery, who is keen to replace Carlos Bacca. To find out the identity of the trio, click here.
DONE DEAL! Bad news for Stoke City fans as Steven Nzonzi heads for Sevilla. Story developing here.
It seems that Robin van Persie's Premier League career will come to an end on Monday. The Dutchman arrived on English shores 11 years ago, but a report has claimed that he will be unveiled as a Fenerbahce player on Monday. All the details are here.
So, the attention now turns to who is going to replace Van Persie at Old Trafford? Well, according to one report, this West Ham United striker is a shock contender to fill the void.

7PM UPDATE! Time to round up all of today's transfer headlines. Click here if you missed anything on day nine of the summer window.
Polish striker Lukasz Gikiewicz is reportedly catching the eye of a few teams this summer, with both Celtic and Hull City said to be battling it out to land the free agent.
Could Tottenham Hotspur youngsters Harry Winks and Ryan Fredericks be on their way in the coming days? According to a report north of the border, Rangers are keen to take the duo on loan. Click here for more.
DONE DEAL! Sevilla have completed the signing of highly-rated Ukraine international Yevhen Konoplyanka on a free transfer. The former Tottenham and Liverpool target has penned a four-year deal with the Europa League winners.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has played club football in five different countries, for 25 different clubs or something, but is Germany and Bayern Munich his next destination? More on this in here.
On to Spain now and Iker Casillas is poised to join Porto, according to his agent. Little more on this in HERE!
Chelsea legend Didier Drogba is reportedly poised to snub a move to Porto in favour of joining Premier League greats Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard in the MLS. More on this HERE!
With Raheem Sterling being flavour of the month, a few nuggets from Steven Gerrard was always on the cards. How does he feel about how the 20-year-old is conducting himself? Well, suffice to say he's not happy! More in HERE!
That's all for one day boys and girls, but we're back in the morning for more done deals and goss. Until then...
