Norwich City boss Neil Adams has revealed that he is "absolutely delighted" by Alex Tettey's decision to sign a new contract with the club.
The Norwegian midfielder put pen to paper on a two-year extension on Wednesday, furthering his stay at Carrow Road until 2016.
The Canaries also have the option to extend the deal by an additional 12 months when it expires at the end of next season.
"I'm absolutely delighted that Alex has extended his stay with us. He's had a fantastic start to the season and worked very hard in midfield with Bradley Johnson and there's no doubt that he's a big, big player for us," Adams told the club's official website.
Tettey has scored four goals in 58 games for Norwich since arriving at the club from Rennes in 2012.
