Former France international Nicolas Anelka has completed his move to Indian side Mumbai FC.
The striker's agent Alexander Garini rubbished reports linking the striker with Fiorentina and confirmed that he has signed an agreement with the I-League outfit until Christmas.
"Fiorentina never made contact with Anelka," Garini told Violanews.com. "Anelka signed a deal with Mumbai FC and so there is no chance of a U-turn.
"The contract will expire on December 25, I have it, so there are no problems. We have never had contacts with Viola, so the news that said this is false."
The player's representative did, however, confirm that Italian side Palermo expressed interest in his client, but were unable to match his wage demands.
"Anelka asked for €1.5m each season - a salary that is out of reach in Italy. We had contacts with Palermo, but we didn't go forward for this," he added.
Anelka had been without a club since his controversial exit from West Bromwich Albion last season.
