Samuel Eto'o has claimed that more world-class players want to join him at Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.
The 30-year-old became the highest-paid player in the world after he joined the cash-rich Russian team in the summer.
Roberto Carlos also plays for Anzhi and Eto'o has revealed that players have contacted him about the possibility of joining them at the club.
"I am happy that more players are thinking about coming," said Eto'o. "Many of them are important players and they have been linked with clubs here.
"That is a big victory for Anzhi and the club is giving an opportunity for Russian football to attract stars.
"I have to tell you that practically every day I get a message or a phone call from a high profile player who wonders whether there are opportunities to come here, because the truth is the future of football is in Russia."
The former Barcelona and Inter Milan striker reportedly earns £300,000 per week at Anzhi, who are owned by billionaire Suleyman Kerimov.
