Heartland FC defender Francis Benjamin has returned to the club after a proposed move to the Israel Premier League was cancelled.
Benjamin had made the journey to Israel shortly before the end of the transfer window to undergo a medical and a sign a contract with Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona.
However, after he passed the medical, Heartland opted to increase their desired transfer fee, which saw the Israeli outfit decide to pull out of the deal.
The 20-year-old made his international debut for Nigeria in 2012 and was part of their squad for the Confederations Cup in Brazil last summer.
