Aston Villa are interested in Ternana and Uruguay Under-20s striker Felipe Avenatti, according to reports.

Aston Villa have expressed an interest in Uruguayan striker Felipe Avenatti, according to reports.

The 22-year-old, who reached the finals of the Under-20 World Cup in 2013 with La Celeste, scored 13 goals for Serie B side Ternana last season.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Villans are preparing for life without Christian Benteke and have thus lined up the 6'4" striker to replace the Belgian.

Avenatti began his career at River Plate before moving to Italy in 2013.
