Leeds United boss Neil Warnock has urged key midfielder Robert Snodgrass to remain at the club for at least one more season.

The 24-year-old is reportedly keen to secure a move to the Premier League in the summer, but Warnock wants the £8m-rated playmaker to aid the club's promotion push next season.

"Snoddy is one player I would like to see at the club next season. We can build a team around him and that is what I want to do," Warnock told The Mirror.

"He is out of contract next summer and I have had talks with his agent about signing a new contract.

"I just want him to give me one full season to try to get the club promoted and if I don't do it, I would be happy to have a clause inserted in any new deal saying he can leave for a set fee."

Leeds currently occupy 14th spot in the Championship with four games remaining.
