Troyes have enhanced their chances of retaining their Ligue 1 status with a comfortable 4-2 home victory over fellow relegation candidates Reims.
The hosts surged ahead as early as the seventh minute through Jean Corentin, who latched onto Stephane Darbio's assist to shoot home from the left side of the box with his right foot.
Corentin could have doubled Troyes's advantage midway through the half had his header from the centre of the Reims box been on target.
Troyes's domination of the game earned them their second goal of the evening 10 minutes into the second half, Julien Faussurier turning in Granddi Ngoyi's cross from just yards out.
Reims halved the deficit in the 65th minute through a Nicolas de Preville long-range effort to set up an interesting finale to the contest at Stade de l'Aube.
Jeremie Brechet whipped in a corner that Corentin turned in with his right foot from the centre of the Reims box to bag his second goal of the match on 70 minutes, but seven minutes later Odaïr Fortes made it 3-2 from just yards out.
However, it was Troyes who had the last laugh, Mohamed Yattara securing the points in injury time with a left-footed shot from close range.
