Younousse Sankhare's 81st-minute goal has handed Guingamp a hard-fought victory away to Ligue 1 new boys Troyes.
EAG made a bright start at the Stade de L'Aube when Slovan Privat fired an early shot wide before Marcus Coco brought a save out of Denis Petric.
Yoann Court then went close for the hosts with an effort from distance on 14 minutes and the midfielder threatened again midway through the first half when his strike came back off the woodwork.
Moments after the restart, Guingamp almost broke the deadlock as Coco had another effort tipped away by Petric.
Privat was again denied by Petric before Corentin Jean's attempt for Troyes was saved by Jonas Lossl as both sides pushed for a late winner.
However, it was Sankhare, who stepped up with nine minutes left and headed home Julien Begue's cross from close range.
Troyes' night worsened when Thomas Ayasse was given a second yellow card for his challenge on Lionel Mathis as Guingamp held on a win which moves them into ninth place.
