Braga have climbed back into the Primeira Liga top three by claiming a 1-0 victory over Uniao this evening.
Nikola Stojiljkovic scored the only goal of the game in Madeira to secure three more points for the visitors, who are now unbeaten in six league outings.
Despite Uniao dominating proceedings in terms of shots on goal, finding the target four times in all across the 90 minutes, there was to be no way past Stanislav Kritsyuk.
Uniao, still without a win since the opening day of the season, pushed for a leveller but fell short in the end to see Braga move within six points of leaders Sporting Lisbon.
Next up for the Archbishops in the league is a meeting with fourth-placed Benfica.
