Uruguay defender Diego Godin has admitted that he is unsure whether Luis Suarez will start their opening World Cup match against Costa Rica on Saturday.
The Liverpool forward has not been able to feature in any of his country's warm-up matches for the tournament after undergoing knee surgery on May 22.
"Luis is very good. He has recovered but we are not sure if he will start the match or be on the bench," Godin is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.
"What happened to him was unfortunate but we have to deal with it. We feel ready to go and are convinced we can do great things here, especially with players like Luis and Edinson Cavani in our squad."
Suarez is Uruguay's all-time record goalscorer, with 38 goals in his 77 appearances.
