Valencia president Amadeo Salvo has insisted that Miroslav Djukic will end the season as the club's manager.
Having taken just three points from their first four games in La Liga, it had been suggested that the Serbian's position would be in doubt if Valencia lost to Sevilla on Sunday.
However, a double from Jonas helped the Spanish outfit on their way to a 3-1 win over their opponents, who are rooted to the bottom of the table.
"Djukic will end the season at Valencia no matter what. Djukic is our coach and even if we had lost he would have continued. Djukic says that he has realised a dream coaching here and that deserves respect," Salvo told Onda Cero.
"You have to give these things time, there is no need to rush and in this case we will not. We have to invest in things so that for the future we will be successful."
Next up for Valencia is a trip to Granada on Wednesday.
