Sofiane Feghouli's long-term future at Valencia has reportedly been thrown into doubt due to the Algerian's wage demands.
The 25-year-old, whose current contract at the Mestalla expires next summer, recently revealed that he wants to pen fresh terms with the Spanish outfit.
However, according to Superdeporte, the two parties are some way apart in terms of an agreement, with Feghouli's camp looking for terms far greater than Valencia are prepared to offer.
It is understood that Valencia owner Lay Hoon Chan will meet with the Algerian's agent in the coming week to discuss a new deal, but 'considerable differences' are harming the negotiations.
Feghouli, who represented his country at the 2014 World Cup, joined Valencia from Grenoble in 2010.
