A late header from Florian Marange has earned Sochaux a 2-2 away draw with Valenciennes in Ligue 1 this evening.
Valenciennes almost went ahead in the first half of the game when Mathieu Dossevi found space in the box, but his right-footed shot flew over the crossbar.
Lionel Zouma was at fault for the hosts' opener as he brought down Majeed Waris early in the second half, leaving the striker to step up and power home from the spot.
The lead was not to last too long, however, as Sebastien Corchia converted from a free kick by easing the ball with his right foot into the top left corner of the goal.
Waris nearly put Valenciennes back in front when he was picked out by Rudy Mater, but the striker saw his effort saved at the bottom corner of the Sochaux goal.
It didn't deter the striker, though, as Waris was on hand to turn home Maor Melikson's pass in the 86th minute to put Valenciennes back in the driving seat.
However, in the few final minutes, the hosts threw away their lead as Marange was allowed too much space to head home and earn Sochaux an unlikely draw.
