Ivorian defender Eric Bailly has revealed his delight after making a winning start to his Villarreal career.
The 20-year-old, who joined the Yellow Submarine from Espanyol last month, made his debut for the Spanish club in Sunday's 1-0 win over Eibar.
"I'm happy with my debut and especially the victory," AS has quoted the youngster as saying. "It was easier thanks to my teammates helping me. I was a bit nervous at first but it got better and much easier.
"We wanted to win to forget the defeat against Rayo Vallecano and we did that with this victory. It wasn't easy, it never is in the Primera, and we're happy with the win."
Bailly was part of the Ivory Coast squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations last month.
