Nilmar has insisted that he will see out his contract with Villarreal despite recently seeking a move away from the club.
The Brazilian striker held talks with Sao Paulo about a return to his native land but the deal did not go through as the two parties could not agree personal terms.
Now Nilmar has expressed his intention to remain in Spain following a return to the first team fold at El Madrigal.
"I am happy to stay at Villarreal. To return to playing was vital. I have two more years on my contract with Villarreal and I am here for them," he said.
"It is true that things in football change and anything can happen, but in order for me to go it would have to be a good offer for all parties."
The 27-year-old has scored two goals in 13 appearances for the Yellow Submarine this term.
