Villarreal have reportedly launched a £14m offer for Angers forward Karl Toko Ekambi.
Ekambi has scored 17 times in 35 Ligue 1 appearances for Angers during the 2017-18 campaign, and is believed to be a transfer target for Everton, Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion.
According to L'Equipe, Villarreal have made a £14m offer in a bid to beat the Premier League trio to the striker's signature, but Angers currently value the Cameroon international in the region of £22m.
Ekambi started his professional career with Paris FC, and spent two years with Sochaux before making the move to Angers in 2016.
The centre-forward will see his Angers contract expire at the end of the 2019-2020 campaign.
