Portugal's Andre Gomes has declared that he is confident his side will defeat Wales in the semi-finals of Euro 2016.
The Valencia midfielder said that his team is capable of handling the threat posed by Real Madrid's Gareth Bale and outgunning the Welsh.
"We are preparing to face a very strong Wales team, they attack very well, they counter-attack well but we will use our best weapons to beat them on Wednesday," he told reporters. "We know that Bale is an important player, a reference, like Cristiano Ronaldo is for us, but I do not believe that we are going to have to take special care.
"I know Gareth Bale from the Spanish league, he also played against British teams so I know their way to play, their style, they are very strong physically. They are a very good team.
"What matters is the team. There will not be anything special. We will try to take advantage of the weakness of Wales."
The winner of the semi-final will take on either Germany or hosts France in the final.
