Belgium international Jan Vertonghen believes that Wales deserve their position as Group B leaders in the Euro 2016 qualification phase.
The Tottenham Hotspur defender, who is expected to captain his country against the Welsh on Sunday, has also tipped Chris Coleman's side to go from strength to strength in the future.
"Wales are top of the group and they deserve to be there," Vertonghen told reporters.
"Wales are in the position we were in for a couple of years. It's a nice position because no-one expects big things from you but you're able to do it.
"I expect Wales to have a very strong team in the next couple of years."
Wales hold a three-point lead over Belgium ahead of kickoff in Brussels, but have played one game more.
