Former Wales international Nathan Blake has called upon the country's Football Association to ban disgraced striker Ched Evans from representing them at international level.
The convicted rapist has earned 13 senior caps for Wales, but Blake wants assurances that he will not be selected again following his return to professional football.
"They'd be better just coming out and making a straight [statement]," the former Bolton Wanderers forward told BBC Sport. "We cannot afford to [pick Evans] because he is convicted of this crime."
Evans, who was released from prison last October after serving half of a five-year sentence, has been linked with a return to football at Maltese side Hibernians.
