New Walsall recruit Isaiah Osbourne has declared that he joined the club to earn League One promotion.
The former Aston Villa midfielder signed a one-year contract at the Banks's Stadium after a short trial spell.
Walsall saw their unbeaten start to the campaign come to an end last time out, but Osbourne is confident that the footing is in place to push on and earn a place in the second tier.
"I'm an aggressive player, a leader and I have come here to help Walsall really push on," the Express & Star quotes him as saying. "Personally I think the minimum aim has to be the play-offs because we have got a really good team.
"I actually had a trial here last season and I thought the team was good then – but you can see now it's a side that has really matured. All the players are now used to the league and we have got to be aiming for promotion."
Osbourne played 19 times for Villa, while also enjoying spells at Hibernian, Blackpool, Nottingham Forest and Scunthorpe United.
