Watford defender Gabriele Angella has signed a new five-year contract with the newly-promoted Hornets.
The Italian joined the Hertfordshire side two years ago from Udinese and has gone on to score 10 goals from centre-back in 81 appearances.
Angella, 26, still had three years remaining on his previous deal, but Watford have offered him fresh terms that run until the summer of 2020.
It is the second piece of transfer news at Watford today after Czech forward Matej Vydra sealed a permanent switch.
