New Werder Bremen signing Josepg Akpala has revealed his delight at signing for the club after agreeing a four-year deal to join from Club Brugge.
Akpala, who appears to be a direct replacement for Markus Rosenberg, who joined West Bromwich Albion earlier this month, has described his move as a "privilege".
"For me it's a big step in my career," Akpala told Bundesliga.de. "It's a huge privilege to be able to play for Werder Bremen.
"This club belongs amongst the top teams in Germany. I want to build on the great Bremen times of the past and make a positive impact on the team."
Akpala scored 19 goals in 30 starts in all competitions for Brugge.
