West Bromwich Albion sporting and technical director Richard Garlick has urged the FA to speed up its investigation into Nicolas Anelka's controversial 'quenelle' gesture.
English football's governing body is currently considering whether or not to take any action against the striker for his goal celebration against West Ham United at Upton Park on December 28.
The gesture is said to have been an inverted Nazi salute used by Anelka's friend, comedian Dieudonne M'bala M'bala.
"People can speculate there is a turn of events where we might be two strikers down," Sky Sports News quotes Garlick as saying.
"It would help everyone for that investigation to be over as soon as possible, and the FA have given their statement about how quickly they will do that."
West Brom are currently 14th in the Premier League with 21 points from as many matches.
