West Bromwich Albion are allegedly required to hand a new 12-month contract to midfielder Gareth Barry.
Since the turn of the year, Barry has found himself in the news for negative reasons, with the 37-year-old one of four players said to have stolen a taxi during a training camp in Spain before the veteran was pictured in a Birmingham nightclub last Friday night, a day before the Baggies faced Burnley in the Premier League.
Barry was not scheduled to play due to injury, but the images led to chants from the home crowd as West Brom suffered a 2-1 defeat at The Hawthorns.
An exit at the end of the season had appeared likely but according to The Telegraph, Barry is in line for a new deal after passing a set number of games in his existing contract.
Since signing from Everton last summer, Barry has made 22 starts and three substitute appearances for the club, who are on course to be relegated to the Championship.
